Application privacy information

Draft – this page is pending legal review and is not yet final.

Who processes your application?

  • [Operator name] (“we”) runs JobPath.at. We are not the employer for the positions we accept applications for, unless explicitly stated.

What data

Name, email address, phone number, city and country, German level, work experience, availability and your CV (PDF or DOCX). Please do not upload ID copies, residence permits, bank details, criminal-record certificates or health data – we do not need them.

Purpose and legal basis

  1. Reviewing your application for completeness and suitability for the selected job (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – pre-contractual steps at your request).
  2. Passing your application to the employer or the responsible recruitment agency for the selected or a suitable job – only after we have told you the specific recipient and you have explicitly agreed (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time; forwarding that has already happened is not affected.
  3. Tracking the outcome (e.g. whether you were hired), as far as the agency informs us, to account for our referral service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest). [Have the balancing test reviewed]

Retention

We keep application data for [e.g. 7 months] after the last processing step (the period for claims under the Austrian Equal Treatment Act plus service time) and then delete your CV and contact details. Non-personal accounting data (reference, job, status, dates) may be kept longer. [Have periods reviewed]

Security

CVs are stored in private storage, are not publicly accessible and can only be accessed by authorised administrators. Access is logged.
